Who Operates Woodshop Math

Woodshop Math is operated by AUSV SYSTEMS PTY LTD (ABN 14 696 099 751; ACN 696 099 751), Victoria, Australia.

Scope

This policy applies to the Woodshop Math website and its free calculators and guides. The site is intended for a global audience, including visitors in Australia, the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, Switzerland and the United States. Woodshop Math does not require an account, subscription or payment details.

Information You Provide

If you email Woodshop Math, the operator receives the information you choose to send, such as your email address, name, message and any project details you include. That information is used to reply, investigate feedback or errors, maintain security and improve the site.

Information Collected Automatically

Woodshop Math uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for basic aggregate page-view and site navigation measurement. Depending on consent, browser and regional settings, GA4 may receive the page URL and title, referrer, browser and device type, operating system, language, screen information, IP-derived approximate location, and pseudonymous client and session identifiers.

Woodshop Math also uses Google AdSense to request and display advertising. Depending on consent and Google configuration, advertising requests may include the page URL, IP address, browser or device information, approximate location, pseudonymous identifiers, consent signals, ad-delivery information and ad impression or interaction information. Third parties, including Google and eligible ad technology providers identified in the applicable consent message, may place or read cookies or use similar technologies as a result of ad serving.

Calculator Data Stays in Your Browser

Calculator inputs and results are processed locally in the visitor's browser. Woodshop Math does not save them to an account or send them to its server. They leave the browser only through a user-requested copy, download or print action.

Woodshop Math does not send calculator dimensions, results, material quantities, cost values, copied text, downloaded content or print actions to GA4. It does not set a user ID or send email addresses to GA4.

How Information Is Used

Information described in this policy is used to:

• operate, secure, maintain and improve the site;
• understand aggregate page views and navigation;
• respond to enquiries and investigate reported issues;
• request, deliver and measure advertising; and
• detect fraud, abuse and technical problems.

Google Analytics

GA4 is configured by the site to send one intended page-view event for an eligible initial page and one for each eligible client-side route change. It is not configured with custom calculator interaction events. The site disables Google Signals and advertising-personalisation signals in its GA code; account-side Google Signals, Google Ads linking, remarketing, user-provided data and other advertising features are not approved for use.

The approved GA4 user and event data-retention setting is 14 months. It is an account-side setting in the GA4 property rather than something the site code controls. Google explains that this account setting applies to user- and event-level data used in explorations and does not determine how long standard aggregated reports remain available.

Google AdSense

Google AdSense provides advertising and related ad-delivery, reporting, security and fraud-prevention services. In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, personalised advertising is permitted only when the visitor's valid consent signals allow it. Elsewhere, Google may personalise ads by default unless the visitor opts out, for example through Google Ads Settings or an applicable Google regional message. In the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, ads may be limited or non-personalised until a consent choice is available and made. Where an applicable published message is available, Google determines the eligible limited, non-personalised or no-ad outcome using signals from its certified CMP, the applicable TCF or regional signal, the browser and the current Google configuration. Rejecting a choice does not imply one guaranteed ad type.

Cookies and Consent

Woodshop Math uses Google Consent Mode. Analytics and advertising cookies are set by default for visitors outside the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom and Switzerland. For visitors Google identifies as being in the EEA, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google tags start with consent denied for Analytics and advertising storage and only set Analytics or advertising cookies after consent is given through an applicable Google consent message. Until such a message is published and a choice is made, consent remains denied in those regions. While consent is denied, Google tags may still send limited cookieless requests, such as the consent state and basic page and browser information, as described in Google's consent mode documentation. The privacy and cookie policy pages do not load Google Analytics or AdSense when visited directly and never send Analytics page views.

Woodshop Math is configured to use Google Privacy & Messaging where the relevant Google account message has been configured, published and is available for the visitor's region. Google provides certified CMP functionality for its European regulations messages, including TCF integration, but availability on Woodshop Math depends on the corresponding account-side configuration and publication. When an applicable message is available, the choices shown depend on the production Google account configuration, region and consent settings and may include Do not consent, Consent and Manage options. Analytics and advertising choices may be separate where Google supports that configuration, and a choice made in that message updates Google Consent Mode for the visitor.

Visitors can use the Privacy and cookie settings item in the footer to reopen Google's available choice interface or read the fallback instructions in the Cookie Policy. Withdrawing consent changes future tag behaviour; it does not promise that all historical cookies are automatically deleted. Browser controls can also block or clear cookies.

Visitors outside the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, including visitors in the United States, can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, manage Google ad personalisation in Google Ads Settings and block or clear cookies with their browser controls.

International Service Providers

Google and other service providers may process information in countries other than the visitor's own. Google describes its globally distributed infrastructure and its data practices in its own privacy and business-safety materials. This policy does not claim a transfer mechanism that has not been separately verified for a particular visitor.

Retention

Contact emails are retained for up to 12 months after the enquiry is resolved, unless they are reasonably required longer for security, legal or business-record purposes. GA4's approved account retention is described above. Google controls retention for information it processes through Analytics, AdSense and Privacy & Messaging under its own settings and policies.

Your Choices and Regional Rights

Depending on location, a visitor may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or another privacy outcome. Requests can be sent to contact@woodshopmath.com. The operator may need enough information to understand and respond to the request. Visitors may also use the footer privacy settings, applicable Google regional messages, the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, Google Ads Settings and browser cookie controls. Supported US-state opt-outs and Global Privacy Control behaviour depend on any Google message configured and published for the site and on regional support, and should not be understood as a universal GPC claim.

Children

Woodshop Math is a general-audience resource and is not directed to children.

Affiliate Links

Woodshop Math does not currently use affiliate links or affiliate tracking. If that changes, applicable relationships and links will be clearly disclosed.

Security

The operator takes reasonable measures appropriate to this informational site and the information it handles. No website, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

This policy may be updated when the site, its providers or its practices change. The effective and last-updated date at the top identifies the current version.
